A few weeks ago, I was blessed to get a package of pork chops for free. Not the thin kind that is normally on sale at my local grocery market, but the thick, juicy kind straight from the butcher. I wanted to do something special with those chops, so I asked my husband for his input. Of course, he suggested something fried and smothered in gravy!
I decided to make a pan-fried chop using a Baking Blend drudge topped with a gravy that also uses Baking Blend. I was SO nervous, but it turned out great and was even Husband approved. Total “man-food!” This recipe makes four decent sized pork chops.
To make your drudge, you are going to combine the following ingredients in a large bowl:
1 C. plus 2 T. Baking Blend
About 2 pinches of Mineral Salt
1 t. Black Pepper
1/4 t. Cayenne Pepper (This gives it a little kick! If you want a spicier chop, feel free to add more!)
1/2 t. Paprika
Coat your pork chop in the drudge. Feel free to use your hands to make sure the chop is coated.
