One of my favorite meals is General Tso’s Chicken. Such a shocker, I know! I make a pretty mean homemade version that includes honey and ketchup, amongst other not so healthy ingredients. After having an intense craving for Chinese food, I decided to get creative and lighten things up a bit!
Take the chicken off heat and set to the side. In a small saucepan combine 2 C. Chicken broth, 2 t. Super Sweet Blend, 2 pinches mineral salt, 1 t. minced garlic, 1/2 T. crushed red pepper (more if you like it hot!), a dash of soy sauce, and 2 T. tomato paste. Bring to a swift boil, then reduce to low. While the sauce simmers, add 1/4 t. Gluccie and whisk well. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens, about 5 minutes or so.
Combine the sauce with the chicken mixture and stir well. Place over low heat. Add whatever veggies you have on hand! I added green beans, a few peas, broccoli and about 1 T. frozen corn.
